RTS is located at the Van Nuys Airport in Van Nuys, California. We are located in "Hangar 4" of Signature "East". 

RTS Aircraft Services is an FAA Certified Repair Station (CRS# 5RTR875C) that provides aircraft maintenance, repairs, and inspection services to corporate organizations and individual operators. We offer engine, avionics, and airframe coverage for piston, turboprop and turbofan-powered aircraft.

Accountable Manager and General Manager

Shane Hunt has nearly twenty years experience in maintenance management.  Mr. Hunt joined Dreamline Aviation in 2011 as Vice President of Maintenance.  Prior to this, Shane held the position of Chief Inspector at a leading aviation Repair Station at the Van Nuys Airport.  Mr. Hunt holds a Bachelors Degree in Aircraft Maintenance and Avionics from Vaughn College of Aeronautics in Elmhurst, New York where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.


Maintenance Manager

Dave Avery’s career in aviation maintenance began at the age of 17 when he joined the Air Force and served as a twin-engine fighter technician.  From 1978 to 2016, Mr. Avery worked for Ameriflight where he worked at a Maintenance Manager.  More recently, Dave served as Training Manager where he was responsible for developing classroom curricula for all of Ameriflight maintenance locations.

Mr. Avery joined RTS Aircraft Services in 2016 where he serves as Maintenance Manager.  He is a licensed A&P mechanic.  Dave resides in the San Fernando Valley.



Mark L. Schmaltz has more than thirty-five years experience in maintenance management, mechanical systems, charter services, and aircraft management.  

Mr. Schmaltz is the founder of both Spirit Aviation and Dreamline Aviation and is one of the most respected leaders in business aviation. Mark is also a commercially rated pilot with over 8,000 flight hours.  Mark is also President of Dreamline Aviation.

He holds a degree in Aeronautical Operations from San Jose State University.
